The Human Resources and Compensation & Benefits departments will be closed from 8:30-10am this morning for a staff meeting. During this time, the team will discuss the upcoming open enrollment period.

IHS Clinic Programs will close at 2 today and be closed all day on Monday for the Labor Day Holiday.

The Reservation Impact Food Pantry at 4217 Holliday St in the Warm Springs Industrial Park is open from 10am to 1pm.

Madras High School Sports Today: Boys & Girls Soccer are at the Bend Soccer Showcase. The girls play Bakers at 3:30 and the boys face Seaside at 6:30.

A memorial for Angela Bellanger and family name-givings will be held on Saturday (9/5) beginning at 8am at the Simnasho Longhouse.

The Spirit Fest Summer Potluck Picnic is set for Saturday (9/5) from 10am to 6pm a the Campus Pavilion. Bring your favorite salad or side dish to share.

A local group is holding weekly rallies to help energize local voters. They are gathering every Saturday morning from 10:30 to noon at the North Y in Madras to encourage community participation in the upcoming general election. These weekly rallies will run through October 31st. Everyone is welcome to join.

Madras High School’s “Buffs Are Back” BBQ for all grades will be held on Tuesday, September 8th 4:30-6:30. Students can learn about clubs & activities, plus get schedules, lockers, ASB cards, parking passes and order year books. Hot dogs, chips & water will be available for everyone.

The Boys & Girls Club is closed through Tuesday. It will reopen on the first day of school, September 9th for the afterschool program 2:50-5:30. Registration is open now for the 2026-27 school year on the parent portal at www.bgcsc.org. Click on “register” and “create account.”

The Oregon Employment Department’s mobile WorkSource Oregon center will be in Warm Springs at the Community Center parking lot from 9:30-3:30 on Tuesday, September 8th. People can stop by to connect with career support, technology, and WorkSource staff who can help you take the next step in your job search. Services include free computer and internet access, personalized career support, help finding job and training opportunities, and referrals to benefits programs. If you are a Veteran, you’ll receive priority access to WorkSource Oregon services.

Warm Springs Suicide Prevention & Lines for Life are hosting a glow walk in recognition of World Suicide Prevention Awareness Day on Thursday, September 10th. Registration will begin at 7:15pm at the campus pavilion and the walk starts at 7:30. There will be pizza and a presentation after.
