Funeral Services for Chief Joseph Moses will begin today (8/31) with a 1:30pm Dressing at the Agency Longhouse.  Open Denomination Services will follow with a dinner at 5:30 and 7pm Washut Services.  Breakfast will be served at 7am Tuesday (9/1).  They will depart the Agency Longhouse at 9am for burial at the Simnasho Cemetery.

The Warm Springs Helping Hand Food Pantry is open Mondays 12:30-4pm at the Presbyterian Church. Food is available first come first serve. Please bring your own bags.
Tuesday (9/2) is the last day of the summer program at the Boys & Girls Club. The club will be closed September 3rd, 4th, 7th & 8th. It will reopen on the first day of school, September 9th for the afterschool program 2:50-5:30. Registration is open now for the 2026-27 school year on the parent portal at www.bgcsc.org. Click on “register” and “create account.”

Kah-Nee-Ta Resort is having a First Responder Appreciation Day every Tuesday through September. They’ll give complementary resort admission for firefighters, first responders, law enforcement and their families. And, EVERY Wednesday through September there will be free admission for Tribal members.

Division of Child Support employees will be in Warm Springs at the DHS office tomorrow (9/1) providing in-person assistance with completing forms and answering questions about child support from 1-3. The Warm Springs Johnson O’Malley Committee’s next scheduled meeting is on Tuesday (9/1) 5:15-8pm in conference room at the Early Childhood Education Center. Meetings are held on the first Tuesday of each month. If you need to contact the JOM Committee email JOM@wstribes.org.

Forestry and the Timber Committee are holding a public meeting Tuesday (9/1) from 6-8pm at the old school cafeteria. They will discuss free-use, resale firewood, boughs, cones & Christmas trees. Folks are encouraged to show up with questions and concerns. A meal will be provided.

A volunteer-led search party meeting for missing teen Tyler Kalama will be held on Wednesday (9/2) from 5:30-8pm at the Agency Longhouse. All are welcome to attend, share information and volunteer in future search parties.

Papalaxsimisha’s final session of its pre-college summer series is this Wednesday (9/2) from noon to 1 at the Family Resource Center. It’s a chance to get a head start on your college journey – learn about financial aid, applying to college, scholarships and get support on your path to college.

Art Adventure Gallery’s September exhibit will feature works from mother & daughter Kathleen Veenstra & Emily O’Neal. There’s an opening reception on Thursday, September 3rd from 5-7pm. The gallery is located on 5th Street in Madras.
