Funeral Services for Chief Joseph Moses will begin on Monday (8/31) with a 1:30pm Dressing at the Agency Longhouse. Open Denomination Services will follow with a dinner at 5:30 and 7pm Washut Services. Breakfast will be served at 7am Tuesday (9/1. They will depart the Agency Longhouse at 9am for burial at the Simnasho Cemetery.

The Simnasho Tribal Market is open Saturdays and Sundays 10am – 2pm through Labor Day weekend, by the Simnasho Longhouse.
The Madras Saturday Market is happening today starting at 9 and going until 2:00 at Sahalee Park.
The co-ed 3-on-3 basketball tournament for cancer prevention that was scheduled for today has been postponed.
A local group is holding weekly rallies to help energize local voters. They are gathering every Saturday morning from 10:30 to noon at the North Y in Madras to encourage community participation in the upcoming general election. These weekly rallies will run through October 31st. Everyone is welcome to join.
The Young Adults in Transitions Drop-In Center in Madras is open to people between 14 and 25 years old to hang out, build connections, and get help with next steps in life. It offers support for: mental health & well-being, education & career planning, employment readiness, housing resources, healthy relationships, budgeting & financial literacy, life skills—and so much more. It’s open Wednesdays & Saturdays, 3-7PM for youth ages 14–18 who are currently in school and Saturdays, 10AM–2PM for young adults ages 18–25 not in school. It’s located at: 241 SW 6th Street, Madras.
A volunteer-led search party meeting for missing teen Tyler Kalama will be held on Wednesday, September 2nd from 5:30-8pm at the Agency Longhouse. All are welcome to attend, share information and volunteer in future search parties.
The last day of the summer program at the Boys & Girls Club is September 2nd. The club will be closed September 3rd, 4th, 7th & 8th. It will reopen on the first day of school, September 9th for the after school program 2:50-5:30. Registration is open now for the 2026-27 school year on the parent portal at www.bgcsc.org. Click on “register” and “create account.”
Warm Springs CPS’s annual energy assistance will be available to up to 300 applicants on Friday, September 18th from 1-4pm at the old school gym. To be eligible, you must bring a printed hard copy of your most recent light bill. They will NOT accept digital copies, emails or phone apps so be sure to print your bill before you go. Payment processing takes time so please be patient with staff and volunteers.
Tenants of Warm Springs Housing Authority who require emergency repairs after hours or on weekends/holidays need to contact Warm Springs PD Dispatch and request Housing’s on-call service. A qualifying emergency service would be a broken water line, backed up sewer, any electrical issues and kicked-in exterior doors. All other non-emergency work orders can be taken care of on the next business day.
The Warm Springs Police Department has temporarily contracted with Frontier Regional 911 to assist with dispatch during overnight hours. Frontier is handling all 911 and emergency dispatch services for the Warm Springs PD between the hours of 6pm and 6am. During these hours, community members who need non-emergency assistance from the police department should call 541-384-2080.

ECE Daycare Admissions Packets for the 2026-27 School year are available. Daycare admissions will be first come, first served. Currently, there is no school age program.
