Just a reminder that the Boil Water Order for the Agency Water System has been lifted.  The water conservation order was also cancelled however everyone is encouraged to be water wise and not waste water.

Papalaxsimisha, Warm Springs Recreation & Southern Oregon University “All My Relations” Program invite youth to an art camp today thru Wednesday from 9am to 3pm each day in the Community Center social hall. The community is invited to attend for dinner and an art showcase Wednesday starting at 5:30.

COIC is holding a Statewide Transportation Improvement Fund or STIF Advisory Committee meeting in Warm Springs this Tuesday from 11:30-1 at the Family Resource Center.

Warm Springs Prevention is hosting the Wings Track Meet this Tuesday at the Warm Springs K-8 Track. Registration kicks off at 5pm, and events get underway at 6. There are age divisions for—2 to 5, 6 to 9, and 10 and up. Every participant gets a t-shirt and a medal.

A Fish & Wildlife Memorial Dinner has been set for Tuesday at the Hehe Longhouse. It will start at 5pm with 1 seven, followed by dinner and a brief giveaway. This is a release for hunters and fishermen for the upcoming seasons due to the recent losses of chiefs and relatives serving on the Fish & Wildlife Committee.

Papalaxsimisha’s pre-college summer series continues this Wednesday (8/19) at the old school cafeteria. Dinner is provided at 5:30 and the session is from 6-7:30. It’s a chance to get a head start on your college journey – learn about financial aid, applying to college, scholarships and get support on your path to college.
The Back to School Yard Sale at the Community Wellness Center is coming up on Friday, August 21 from 9am to 3pm. Tables are limited and you can reserve one at the Recreation office.

ABBAcadabra: The Ultimate ABBA Tribute Concert will take place on Friday, August 21st at General Duffy’s Waterhole in Redmond. Doors open at 6pm with music at 8:30. Proceeds benefit the Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs Wildfire Recovery Fund and Thrive Central Oregon. Ticke details are available at GeneralDuffys.com.

Warm Springs Higher Education Department is reminding tribal scholarship students that they should apply for the Oregon Tribal Student Grant. It can pay for most or all public college-related expenses not covered by other grants for students pursuing their first Associate, Bachelor’s, or Graduate degree. Students who have already applied are encouraged to make sure that their application is complete and accepted by the September 30th deadline.
