Funeral Arrangements for Fabian Sutterlee, Jr.  – There will be a family dressing today (8/27) at 3pm at the Agency Longhouse. All-denominational services and Washut will follow. Burial will be at sunrise on Friday (8/28) at the Agency Cemetery. There will be a meal after the burial.

Warm Springs Tribal Court will NOT have a jury trial this morning at 9. This notice is for the July-August Jurors, and this was the last date you needed to serve.  On Friday (8/28) Tribal Court will be closed for monthly service from 3-5pm. During this closure, please contact dispatch for any emergencies. For non-urgent matters, you can leave a voicemail at 541-553-3278 or email the court at court@wstribes.org.

Warm Springs Community Health’s mobile medical clinic will be at the Simnasho Fire Station today from 10 to 3. Patients can be seen for medical problems, medications, STI tests, and – with an appointment – medical procedures. Walk-ins and scheduled appointments with RaNeva Dowty, Dr. Frey & Nurse Shirley are available. Call 541-553-2352 for more information.

The Madras Community Food Pantry will be open 10am to 1pm today. It’s located on the Culver Highway.

The Thursday Market is today from 10:30am – 2pm at the Campus Pavillion.  Vendors are welcome to come set up.  It’s first come, first serve for available tables and chairs.  Emergency Management will have their final clothing giveaway with men’s, women’s, children’s and baby clothing, plus blankets and toys. It’s all free for the community. There are fresh harvest kits and pick up for Veggie Rx participants at the HDFFA table. Participate in a survey and you get a prize.  KWSO is on hand as well.

A Spirit Fest summer potluck picnic will take place this Saturday (8/29) 10am to 6pm at the Warm Springs Campus Pavilion. Bring your favorite salad or side dish. For more information contact Janice Smith 541-325-3040.

A co-ed 3-on-3 basketball tournament for cancer prevention will be held on August 29th 10-3 at the Warm Springs Community Center. Registration will be open that morning from 8-10am or you can pre-register now by calling or texting Torrie at 971-509-4756. There will be youth age 9-17 and adult divisions plus health resources and food trucks Prizes will be given for 1st through 3rd places and a $50 stipends for refs.

The Warm Springs Police Department has temporarily contracted with Frontier Regional 911 to assist with dispatch during overnight hours. Frontier is handling all 911 and emergency dispatch services for the Warm Springs PD between the hours of 6pm and 6am. During these hours, community members who need non-emergency assistance from the police department should call 541-384-2080.
