  • Here is what is on today’s Tribal Council agenda: This morning will be budget presentations for the Cannabis Commission; Warm Springs Composite Products; and Telecom. This afternoon budgets will continue with Indian Head Casino; TERO Commission; and the Secretary-Treasurer/CEO.
  • Warm Springs Culture & Heritage is hosting Camp Naimuma this week at the Agency Longhouse. If your child needs a ride – you can call 541-553-3290.
  • The Warm Springs Commodities Food Bank, located at 4217 Holliday Street in the Industrial Park, is open 10 until 1 today.
  • The Madras Community Food Pantry at 370 SW Culver Highway is open 10-1 today.
  • Warm Springs Community Health’s mobile medical clinic will be set up today from noon to 2 at the housing area near the Trailer Courts called “Smurfville.” At the mobile medical clinics, patients can be seen for medical problems, medications, STI tests, and – with an appointment – medical procedures. Walk-ins and scheduled appointments with RaNeva Dowty, Dr. Frey & Nurse Shirley are available. Call 541-553-2352 for more information.
  • Today is Senior Lunch from noon to 1 at the Warm Springs Senior Building.
  • Warm Springs Community Health Program has a hand sewing circle that meets every Tuesday at noon in the I H S atrium. Lunch and supplies are provided for participants.
  • The Warm Springs STRONG Youth Wellness Program meets today (8/11) at the old school gym. 3rd through 5th grade kids attend from 1-2:30 and 6th through 8th grade youth from 3-4:30. They’ve got free logo shirts for participants.
  • The SriPonya Collective invites individuals returning home from prison to Brothers & Sisters in Progress, a peer-led re-entry support group. Connect with a strong community network, access vital resources, learn goal-setting strategies, and gain eligibility for peer support specialist scholarships.   • The Wings youth track meet that was to happen this afternoon has been rescheduled for August 18th.
  • Tonight’s Agency District meeting has been moved to August 24th.

The August Drummers Jam & Social Powwow tomorrow has been postponed until a later date.

Papalaxsimisha’s pre-college summer series continues this Wednesday (8/12) at the old school cafeteria. Dinner is provided at 5:30 and the session is from 6-7:30. It’s a chance to get a head start on your college journey – learn about financial aid, applying to college, scholarships and get support on your path to college.

There’s an ECE Round-up at the Warm Springs Health & Wellness Center on Thursday, August 13. These physicals include medical, dental & optometry clinics for Head Start and ECE kids who will be 3 or 4 on or by September 1st. Appointments are required – call 541-553-2610 to schedule.

The Humane Society of Central Oregon will have a free pet wellness clinic in Warm Springs on Saturday, August 15th from 10am until 2pm. The walk-in clinic will be at Fire & Safety on campus – appointments are not needed. Pets can get a wellness exam, vaccinations, microchip and dewormer medication.

On Saturday, August 15th, the Wasco County Fair and Rodeo will host the “Hold the Line for Saralee” Memorial Race in loving memory of Saralee Spino-McCormack. The event features a Single Exchange Pony Express race—two horses, one jockey, open to both men and women. The action starts at the Wasco County Fairgrounds in Tygh Valley, with top prizes including a thousand dollars added cash and a “Best Dressed Jockey” award. Papalaxsimisha, Warm Springs Recreation & Southern Oregon University “All My Relations” Program invite youth to an art camp August 17-19 from 9am to 3pm each day in the Community Center social hall. To register kids for the camp call 541-553-3243 or stop by the Community Center office.

ABBAcadabra: The Ultimate ABBA Tribute Concert will take place on Friday, August 21st at General Duffy’s Waterhole in Redmond. Doors open at 6pm with music at 8:30. Proceeds benefit the Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs Wildfire Recovery Fund and Thrive Central Oregon. Ticke details are available at GeneralDuffys.com.

ECE Daycare Admissions Packets for the 2026-27 School year are now available. Daycare admissions will be first come, first served. Currently, there is no school age program.
